Adapted Physical Training

The adapted personal training service at Wallace Fitness Center is centered around modifying and adapting all exercises for individuals who may need it. This service is specifically available for individuals with intellectual, physical, or sensory disabilities as well as anyone recovering from injuries and surgery. Exercise is for everyone no matter what and that’s what we’re here to prove.

Clients will receive individualized and modified strength and conditioning programs that match their strengths and adjust to their weaknesses.

This new initiative is being run by Jacob Brush who went through the Adapted Physical Activity program at Slippery Rock University. Jacob has gained numerous hours of hands on experience working with a wide variety of clients with differing disabilities and limitations. “I take pride in my ability to show someone that they can exercise at a level they may not have believed they could before. Progress and improvement isn’t always measured by numbers on a sheet. It can be measured through confidence in movement, joy, independence, and self worth. Nobody should feel like working out isn’t an option due to a small limitation”

For the impaired individual who needs something after physical and/or occupational therapy. This is the perfect program for you! Jake has all the skills necessary to ensure progress.
